Downtown Franklin Engagement Session

I’ll never forget the day I met Anna and Eric at that little square in downtown Franklin. It was early November, the air crisp but kind—just enough chill to make your breath visible, but not enough to steal your smile. Anna greeted me with that warm, easy laughter of hers, and Eric—fresh off base—leaned in like he’d been waiting all week just to see her. As an Army guy stationed here in Tennessee, most days for him are defined by uniform and routine. But today, today was all about love, light, and leaves.

We started their engagement session right in the heart of downtown Franklin. Even though it was peak fall when we shot these, downtown was holding on to its neutrals and greens like it didn’t get the memo that November was almost over. But that’s kind of what made it great—Anna and Eric got the best of both worlds for their downtown Franklin engagement session.
Then we slipped over to a nearby park—barely a five-minute drive—and that’s where fall finally showed up in full force. Golden leaves, a little chill in the air, and trees just doing their autumn magic. Anna’s cozy outfit and Eric’s relaxed style fit right in. It was quiet there, and we got to slow down even more. No pressure, no big crowds. Just them.
Anna + Eric, thank you for trusting me with your story. I can’t wait to see you walk down that aisle and to follow your laughter all the way into your new life together. Until then, may your days be as golden as those falling leaves, as fresh as that Tennessee breeze, and as steady as the promise you made to each other—and to the Lord. Counting down the days to December 6!
Until the next love story, xoxo
